2k Manufacturing Ltd. £23m Institutional Fundraising

ERT plc (“ERT”) recently announced that it has granted a production license to 2K Manufacturing Limited (“2K”) for the manufacture of Eco Sheets.

Eco Sheet is the recycled plastic board which will be targeted at the UK construction industry through the replacement of existing non-recyclable, high carbon footprint, site hoarding frames traditionally made of painted plywood.  In addition, the Eco Sheet will also be applied to indoor applications such as stud wall backing.

The Eco Sheet was developed with partners, including Bovis Lend Lease, and has won four environmental awards to date including most recently the Building Magazine’s Sustainability 2007 Award for Innovative Technology.

2K is the preferred manufacturer for the Eco sheet and has established strong links with distributors and end users in the UK construction industry.  2K has an aggressive plan for meeting demand for its product through the building of several production plants in the UK and later in Europe.

2K is looking for a total fundraising package of £23.0 million (debt and equity financing and leasing) in staged private funding to build 11 plants across the UK over a 5-year timeframe.  Phoenix Corporate Finance Partners LLP (“Phoenix”) has been retained by the Company to assist in the fundraising process.

The funding is expected to be in place by the end of Q1 2008, and will enable 2K to start production in early 2009.
